Refined and Elegant Farmhouse Wedding in Plainfield

Monica and Zach’s wedding journey took an unexpected turn when the pandemic hit just as we began planning their celebration. With so much uncertainty in the world, they chose to host a small and intimate ceremony at their home, surrounded by their closest family and friends. Set outdoors in the beauty of spring, the ceremony became a heartfelt and meaningful moment that allowed them to safely honor their love.

As the world began to reopen, we shifted our focus to planning their larger celebration. The couple selected the stunning Farmhouse Plainfield as the venue for their reception, giving us the opportunity to design an elegant farmhouse wedding in Plainfield that reflected their style and story. Navigating a post‑pandemic wedding came with new challenges, but bringing their long‑awaited vision to life was incredibly rewarding.

Working closely with Monica and Zach, we created a breathtaking atmosphere featuring elegant floral arrangements lining the aisle and a striking floral installation above the fireplace from Bloome. One of the most memorable elements was our recommendation to include a live musician for the ceremony. The talented Dawn Bishop played the harp, adding a graceful and timeless touch to the experience.

As the day unfolded, heavy rain threatened the outdoor ceremony. We quickly adapted, moving the celebration indoors while preserving every design detail and ensuring the floral arrangements remained a focal point.

The reception continued with exquisite food from True Cuisine and an energetic performance from BeatMix. A deeply personal highlight was Monica’s meticulously designed wedding cake, adorned with sugar florals she crafted herself, creating a unique and conversation‑worthy centerpiece.

Despite the challenges along the way, the day was a beautiful success. The breathtaking photos by Tim Tab Studios and the film captured by Imagination Designers told the full story of Monica and Zach’s journey, one defined by love, resilience, and a celebration that was truly worth the wait.
