Sarah & Jacob's Lovely Morton Wedding

We kicked off June with Sarah and Jacob’s wedding at The Morton Arboretum. The Arboretum was a stunning backdrop for their lovely lavender palette that flowed through their bridal party, floral, and decor. As you’ll see from their photos, Sarah was quite the bubbly bride and Jacob was right there giggling with her.

They started the day with a private first glance in the Maze Garden, which Dana Ann Photography captured from above. The fourteen-person bridal party joined after for photos in some favorite spots are the Arboretum.

Sarah was absolutely beautiful in her dress from The Crystal Bride. We also love to point out a #sneakersbride when we have one. The choice to complete your bridal look with a pair of white sneakers, which are always hidden beneath your grown, is a decision we’ve never had a bride regret, especially with an outdoor ceremony. Sarah also had a lovely pair of white heels at the ready to switch into once the party moved indoors.

The ceremony took place in the Hedge Garden. It was decorated with a gorgeous arch by AEG and small arrangements lining the aisle. The ceremony also featured a small table for the custom made wine box and marriage license. Guests were handed small containers of bubbles by the ushers as they arrived for some post-ceremony fun for the photos (though the ring bearer – who wielded a bubble gun – definitely thought it was all for him).

The Ginkgo Room was decorated for the reception with white linens on the guest tables and a lavender linen on the sweetheart table. The centerpieces were an array of glowing gold goblets and lanterns surrounded by floral with a large blossoming arrangement on the sweetheart table. There’s nothing quite like a live band at a reception and Sarah and Jacob’s wedding was no different. Brook Reams Music grooved the night away from first dances to the last song. And this couple might’ve stayed on the dance floor all night long if they could’ve. What a magical day and night to be a part of.
