Rebecca and Brian’s ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all took place inside the stylish, versatile downtown venue Gallery 1028. With around 160 guests, the space comfortably fit everyone for all three parts of the nights with ample space for a dance floor at the center of the reception.
The ceremony was decorated with a stunning arch designed by Studio AG, which was used later in the night as a backdrop to the couple’s sweetheart table. The aisle was draped with long vines of greenery along the chairs and framed by two tall, overflowing arrangements at its entrance. With daylight still beaming in through the white draping on the far wall, the whole room was glowing.
While the ceremony was being set up, the couple had their first glance in front of cute ivy wall then the bridal party took pictures around the city.
The ceremony was officiated by Rebecca’s younger brother, so it was laden with humor, personality, and many tears. The cocktail hour that followed moved the party out to a spunky, rustic bar-space, while the ceremony room was flipped for the reception. During the cocktail hour, guests could pick up their personalized succulent place cards that doubled as a take-home favor and fit perfectly with the rest of the wedding’s floral.
Some of our favorite wedding-day memories with a couple are the hectic events that happen behind-the-scenes. Whether we’re checking in with the catering team or calming an anxious Mother-of-the-Bride, there’s almost always something going on where the guests can’t see. At this wedding, it was the bustling of Rebecca’s dress. One bridesmaid helping turned into five bridesmaids helping and soon Tiffany was jumping in to help, too. It made for quite the picture.
With the bustling complete and the room flipped, the doors opened for guests to enter. The room was gorgeous and the reception was an absolute blast. The band rocked all night through many speeches, a lovely first dance, and finally, late-night snacks catered by Chipotle (with Brian’s custom-made favorite burrito on the menu of course). We were so happy to be a part of the entire fabulous event.
