Kristen and Aaron’s wedding was our first of 2018, and we can’t think of a better couple to have started our year. When we think all the way back to their wedding, the two thoughts that come to mind are their genuine kindness and the fabulous music. It was a beautiful wedding and reception filled with so much laughter and smiling… well, you’ll see it in their photos.
Kristen and Aaron met when they were both students at Elmhurst College. They started dating in 2011 and in November of 2016, Aaron proposed to Kristen with a romantic walk through the changing leaves at Cantigny Park. Just over a year later, they were married in the Ginkgo Room at Morton Arboretum.
Let’s look back at their magical day last January.
The smiles started with their first glance…

Kristen was a gorgeous bride. Her hair was done by Frank Giranda and makeup by Rare Bird Beauties. She and the bridal party carried elegant white bouquets with gentle pinks and yellows and filled with greenery. (Florist: Ipomea)
Aaron’s sister, Jennifer, played the cello for their ceremony and a jazz trio from Elmhurst College played for cocktail hour. The reception was DJ-ed by Toast & Jam. All around, the day was filled with incredible music.
