Every time a new anniversary comes up, we’re surprised again by how fast time flies. Kelly and Ryan’s wedding, in particular, feels like just yesterday. From putting together favors the week before the event to watching them have their first dance, we enjoyed every moment we spent with this couple.
They lucked out with a gorgeous, July day for their event. Although the only part of the day that took place outside was the cocktail hour, the weather still made for some beautiful pictures. The wedding began with a ceremony at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Parish in Winfield, Illinois.

A few stray guests from the cocktail hour causing shenanigans among the wedding party.
Following the ceremony, the wedding party took pictures in the church then headed to Eaglewood Resort and Spa for pictures around the grounds. Meanwhile, the events team was busy setting up the cocktail hour and reception with gorgeous decor from BBJ Linens, Halls Rentals, and Revel Decor.
Both the ceremony and reception featured large arrangements of Calla Lilies accented by smaller arrangements in shades of purple and pink.
The couple picked out a wide array of fabulous musicians to play through the day. Choice Music Chicago curated the music for their church ceremony. Violinist Katherine Andrick played through their cocktail hour. And finally, Rod Tuffcurls & The Bench Press kept the reception dancing all night long.
At the end of the night, guests could take home these sweet treats for favors. Kelly and Ryan each chose their favorite flavor of cake pop from Starbucks and packaged them neatly in these bags with custom stickers by Papier Girl.
Thank you for including us in your special day and happy first anniversary!
